Instilling a Can-do Attitude in Children

One day, Pei Pei took out a set of 4-layered jigsaw puzzle from the toy cabinet. This was a gift from her grandaunt.

"MaMi, I can't." She was stuck halfway.

For a moment, I felt like helping her to complete the whole puzzle for her.

But wait... somehow a force stopped me.

"Let's play a game," I suggested, "I'll put one piece, then you put one piece."

Pei Pei happily joined me in the game.

"Yay!" she exclaimed when the puzzle was completed.

"So you can complete the puzzle! Give me a five!" Her big five landed on my face by accident, but I was glad that the challenge turned into fun and a sense of accomplishment for her!

Failing is not a problem. Giving up is.

How you instill can-do attitude in your children?
