Rock at Junior Academy of Music

[Sponsored Review]

Since babyhood, Pei Pei and Hao Hao liked to hit objects and were amazed by the noise sound that they made.

So when we were invited to attend an introductory drums lesson with Junior Academy of Music (JAM), I thought, perhaps this would captivate their interest and unleash their potential!

Located in Fidgets at the Grandstand, JAM is a pop / rock music academy run by Timbre Group. It offers drums, vocals, electric guitar and electric bass courses to 4 to 12 years old.

The introductory lesson was conducted by the manager, Mr Luthfi, who was very patient with Pei Pei and Hao Hao.

Mr Luthfi let Pei Pei and Hao Hao familiarise with the drum set first, then he showed them how to hold the drum sticks (not edible ones), and taught them hands and legs coordination.

After the lesson, Mr Luthfi shared with me about their child-centric approach - while there is curriculum, it is delivered according to the child's progress. In addition, the students get to play at Fidgets for free!

Pei Pei and Hao Hao had great fun drumming!

  1. They say that the sooner we introduce music to our kids, the better grasp they have on it. Your children are adorable!

  3. GREAT fun! I hope they continue to enjoy it. I am learning now that rhythm is something we need to learn, just as much as learning to read. I wish my mom and dad had been successful at teaching it to me when I was your kids' ages, rather than trying to learn now at age 58!!!
