Marina Barrage Sustainable Singapore Gallery

Some time ago, we visited Marina Barrage to fly kite (read our experience here), but we did not bring the children to explore other parts of Marina Barrage. Until we went there again to catch RSAF Black Knights' aerial display during the Jubilee weekend, then we visited Marina Barrage Sustainable Singapore Gallery, located at level 2 of Marina Barrage.

What a giant structure made by recycled water bottles!

The photos brought us back to the past to learn about the cleaning up of the Singapore and Kallang Rivers.

We were there just in time to listen to a guide who explained how Marina Barrage works. The children were amazed by the giant model of Marina Barrage, they watched what happen when the rain falls and when water builds up behind the barrage, the pumps at work and learnt about the benefits of the dam.

As we were walking around the gallery, we noticed that there was guided tour. If you are interested to learn more, do sign up for their guided tour!

    1. It was so crowded at the roof top during Jubilee weekend, so we went into the gallery to stay away from the crowd!

  8. We love marina barrage also because of the big open spaced grass patch roof top, and the water features that kids can play in. :)
