A Halloween Treat @ The King Louis Grill & Bar

[Sponsored Review]

Halloween is just around the corner. Trick or treat? Yes, I hear you, you would love to have a treat!

We were glad to be invited by The King Louis Grill & Bar to enjoy a Halloween treat in the castle!

Entranced, we saw the Knight draped by cobweb, accompanied by Jack-o'-lantern which was held by two broken arms.

Right in front of the wall painted with a beautiful castle was a giant spider in its web. Beware if you are going to sit below it! (Ok, just kidding...)

Not to be too worried though. In the presence of those freaky Halloween decors, your appetite would not be affected by them because of the good food!

First, we had the Signature Mushroom Soup (S$8.90++). I just couldn't resist the creaminess of the soup with bits of button and shiitake mushrooms.

Next, we had English Style Caesar Salad (S$12.50++) which consisted of crispy romaine lettuce tossed with caesar dressing, topped with parmesan cheese, premium crispy bacon, croutons and eggs.

If you are a deep-fried food lover, then you should try their Knight of the Round Table Platter C (S$21.90++). There are castle drumlets, golden calamari, prawn twisters, crispy wedges, and the all-time-favourite banana bacon bites. We fell in the with the banana bacon bites at the first bite. The soft banana was wrapped by crispy bacon, they were simply perfect match!

I was not freaked out by any spooky things in the castle. Though I had witnessed the generosity of The Knight Lancelot during our last visit, I couldn't help but to exclaim - the Halloween Platter is humongous! It is really a fantastic Halloween treat!

As a seafood lover, I attacked Grilled Crayfish first. The crayfish was fresh, and was de-shelled easily. The cheese coated on the crayfish just made it taste heavenly. The skin of Pan Scared Fillet of Norwegian Salmon was crispy, and the sauce tasted like teriyaki sauce, which blended well with the salmon. Roasted Beef with Black Pepper Sauce was slightly too firm to our liking. We loved Premium BBQ Baby Back Rib the most. The meat practically fell off from the bone, it was very tender and well marinated. Their sauce was not too spicy,  so it is very suitable for people like me, who have low threshold to spicy food.

Oh, you are not strictly carnivourous. No worries, you would find salad, green apples with cinnamon powder, vegetables and potato in the platter! The dressing in the salad was really appetising, it made me feel like "keep calm and eat on"!

The Halloween platter is S$80++ for 2-3 pax, and it is S$160++ for 4-5 pax. There is complimentary bottle of Chardonnay or Carbernet Sauvignon if you order for 4-5 pax, so this completes the royal feast!

Overall, it was a balanced gastronomic delight!

So what are you waiting for? Enjoy your Halloween treat with The King Louis Grill & Bar from now until 3 November 2013!
