Marine Cove Playground at East Coast Park

You may have heard of, or have been to the newest playground in Singapore - Marine Cove Playground at East Coast Park. We were there on Youth Day school holiday, and it was crowded with the young and the young at heart!

The highlight of the playground - the tower with 3 slides!

There is no staircase. Yes, you heard me right. No staircase to get up to the slides. The children have to climb up the net structure in order to get to the top of the slides.

To some children, this really takes them courage to climb up the net structure and cross over it. You can see many parents cheerleaders (including myself) encouraging their children.

It was heartwarming to see Hao Hao and Pei Pei holding their hands to embrace this challenge together.

Another highlight of the playground - the swings! It was nice that most children queued up in an orderly manner to wait for their turn.

Some other facilities that our children enjoyed...

How about the toddlers and babies? No worries, they have other facilities specially designed for them!

It is nice that there are shelter and eateries just next to the playground, so that we could take a break from the hot sun, and to recharge ourselves!
