Mobal Japan Prepaid SIM Card Review

[Sponsored Review]

Connectivity is one of the essentials when we travel overseas. We need internet to search for location of places, finding out the weather information, keeping in touch with family, and so on. We don't depend on Wi-fi alone because it is not available everywhere, so we usually get prepaid SIM card prior to our trips.

Before our trip to Japan (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara), we were thankful to receive 10 GB data SIM card from Mobal Japan for review.

You can choose to receive the SIM card via free worldwide standard shipping (pay a fee for Next Business Day delivery to USA and UK), or you can pick it up at selected locations in Japan (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Sendai). For Singapore residents, we can also pick up at Japan Rail Cafe located at Tanjong Pagar.

The SIM card is multi-size - Nano, Micro and Standard size, so it is compatible to many devices.

Activating Mobal Japan data SIM card is very straightforward for my iPhone 7, just insert the SIM card and use it. For Andriod smartphone users, there are some simple steps for installation, simply follow the instruction that comes with the package.

The network service is provided by Softbank. As we travel around Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Nara, the coverage was generally great! Even when I surfed net on the trains and subways, the speed was still good for my usage.

This 10GB data SIM card works for 30 days from the date of the first usage or until the 10GB data allowance is used up. This volume is more than enough for my use for my 9-day trip since I don't usually watch videos during travelling.

To use Mobal Japan SIM card, make sure that your device is fully unlocked and supports 3G or 4G band 1 (2100 MHz) frequency. Other than data SIM card, Mobal Japan also offers SIM cards with data, voice calling and texting.

Check out Mobal Japan for your Japan trip!
